...interpretation of R-series and seal resistent

 Hi

I would like to understand better the meaning of some values during wholle cell recordings; after patch some cell the the seal can have 2 or 3 or more GOhm. After open the cell these values sometimes keep similar, and the series resistence (R-series) is unter 30. So, even the cell is open and the R-series is small, the R-membrane kepp so hight; does it mean that the seal keep very good after open the cell? When the cell is open and the m-resistant decrease too much, for example from 5 GOh to 300 MOh, means that the patch is not so good anymore?

Thanks.
