Develop thorough knowledge of the existing biochemicals range.
Work with Product Specialists to be aware of the needs of Abcam’s consumers who purchase products in this range.
Work with recommendations from Product Specialists to add products that could have high revenue potential for the company or solves a specific consumer need that isn’t currently being met.
Liaise with the Product Specialists for biochemicals and develop a pipeline database of new products to source.
Identify possible new third party suppliers for biochemicals, including licensing of proprietary products.
Liaise with the Supplier Manager to develop relationships with new third party suppliers.
Work with the Supplier Manager, Pipeline Manager and Product Specialists to ensure the target for the number of new biochemicals added to the catalogue each month is achieved.
Assist in the creation of datasheets and supporting documentation for biochemicals products when required.
Assist with resolving scientific support queries for biochemicals products
Holding a BSc in Chemistry or Biochemistry, you will have some industry experience whether this is within a laboratory or commercial environment. It would be desirable that you will have strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
As this role will require you to deal with our third party suppliers, you will need to be a confident and clear communicator, both verbally and written. An Abcam Supplier Assistant will be organised, detail orientated and a team player.
We are looking for someone to start in August and occasional travel to our Bristol office will be required.
