You will provide postdoctoral structural biology support (principally protein expression, purification and X-ray crystallography) to a team within the School of Life Sciences investigating antimicrobial resistance. Specifically you will work within a team investigating aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases and their ability to recognise cognate and non-cognate amino acids.
You will have a PhD in a relevant subject and a strong background in experimental biochemistry, molecular biology and microbiology and proven experience in molecular cloning, protein expression, purification, crystallization, X-ray crystal structure determination. The successful applicant will be required to work individually and in a team.
Due to funding regulations, the successful applicant must be able to start by 31st May 2015.
