I'm confusing that why is carbon dioxide absortion a good indicator of photosynthesis?? can anybody tell me???
actually, it is CO2 assimilation rate.
as the definition of Photosynthesis, which is a metabolic pathway that converts light energy into chemical energy. Its initial substrates are carbon dioxide and water; the energy source is sunlight (electromagnetic radiation); and the end-products are oxygen and (energy-containing) carbohydrates, such as sucrose, glucose or starch.
does it answer your question?
sorry did not say it the same answer
and many times O2 evolution rate are also used as a measurement of photosynthesis rate
