We are seeking an outstanding highly-motivated candidate for a full-time postdoctoral Research Associate on a Leverhulme Trust funded project (Principal Investigator: Professor Simon Turner) for a period of 36 months. The project will examine how plant pathogens are able to manipulate their host and how this can be exploited to improve plant material for bioprocessing.

You should have PhD (or equivalent) in biology, biochemistry, cell biology, molecular genetics or plant science or a related discipline. You must be a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual who works independently and collaboratively as part of a larger team. It is desirable that you will have experience in one or more of the following – molecular genetics, molecular biology or bioinformatics. The project also has funding for a PhD student who will work on a complementary proposal looking at how the pathogen are able to affect changes in the plant.
