Hi, welcome to the forum,

Hi, welcome to the forum,

I haven't used Galaxy before, could you provide a link? Our lab is into Taverna , but that is mostly because we know the people that built it pretty well adn some of use have even written extensions to it. I agree, it is a bit of a pain to get started with. I've heard that they are working hard to improve that. In the next release it should be much easier to get things going via direct connections to excel etc. If workflows are of interest, you might want to keep an eye on BioCatalogue . It is trying to become the primary web service repository.

The other kind of exciting

The other kind of exciting project from folks related to Taverna is MyExperiment. It provides a Web2.0 approach to finding and sharing workflows that run in the Taverna system.
