Dose anyone here works with Hydrogels.
I am looking into biomaterial replacement of the Nucleus Pulposus.

I am just starting to use hydrogels for tissue engineering applications...but I have no idea what Pulposus is? If you explain more maybe I can help.

Nucleus pulposus is the an

Nucleus pulposus is the an area within the intervertebral disk wich has a jelly like substance. Its' main function is to distribute hydraulic pressure in all directions of the disk.

I work with a kind of

I work with a kind of hydrogel call Konjac Glucomannan. I Think it can be suitable for some use in cartilage, skin, nerve repair. But this kind of research is just beginning. I hope that would be useful for you!

PEG based hydrogels are the most widely used ones. Papers by Hubbell et al can be basically used for processing of hydrogels
