Life shelf

Hello,

Does anyone know what the life shelf of a hyaluronic acid potassium salt solution is ? I red that the powder can be kept for about 2 years, I couldn't find anything on the storage for aqueous solution of HA!

Also, what would be the difference if it was diluted in water or PBS?

thanks a lot!

I would say the same for the powder, arround 2 years. I read somewhere that it could even hold for more.
As per solutions, mmmm.
No data that I found say anything. I would presume that In PBS it would hold longer than in water. Usualy I would not use solutions more then 2 months after preparation. Note that you always need to check your solutions pH after not using it for a long time.

 Hi

 Hi
I donot know the shelf life of the potassium hyaluronic acid solution but I expect that the salt solubilized in water will definitely be different from the one solubilized in PBS.
In that case there already is presence of a buffer system that may interfere with the pH of solution and also the reaction may occur for the 2
acid + NaHPO4 --------------------  acid adducts with PO4.
SO be careful as the two may be varying
