Is dry ice harmful to my cells?

I used dry ice in my -80 freezer to get through a planned power outage over the weekend. Can I leave the dry ice in the freezer, or should I remove it?

I'm not sure of the effects of high concentrations of CO2 gas on cryopreserved cell lines.

It can be harmful. If you want to tranport cells using dryice, make sure you seal the cap properly.
