I'm currently working on a new project, concerning examening the fatty acids in blood cell surface phopsolipids.
In order to do it, I need to conduct hemolisys of the cells.
I put the cells into destilated water, eventually, I wash what is left of them with water and spin them at arround 12000g.
The point is, that I can't get rid of hemoglobine. The cell-ghosts are red, even after the 4th wash-and-spin. :(
Does any of you have a tip, how to make the process faster and more efficient? How to make the hemolisys faster and better, and how to get rid of the hemoglobine, which is left?? I can not use any oxidating agent!! I must keep the fospholipids safe!
Thanks for any help, kind regards,
