About the role
Abcam is looking for an enthusiastic and creative life scientist who is passionate about generating and commissioning engaging content in the field of epigenetics.
Working within the Research Area Content Team this role is focused on creating and communicating the story around our leadership in Epigenetics research products. You can demonstrate great writing ability and an understanding of how you would create content that is aimed at different stages of the consumer lifecycle. You should be familiar with how to measure the performance of content you create so experience with analytics tools such as Google Analytics is preferable. The content you have created before likely includes the following: newsletters, protocols, pathways, product descriptions and reviews, search optimised articles, blog posts, interviews, Adwords, case studies and other marketing literature.
Key duties will involve
Proposing, generating or sourcing high quality content for the Epigenetics Portfolio, targeted to different consumer segments
Managing an editorial calendar
Responsibility for monitoring epigenetics keyword landscape; mapping both new and existing content onto this.
Develop and contribute to marketing campaigns for the Epigenetics Research Area, working closely with relevant colleagues in the wider Marketing & Category Department to ensure success across multiple channels
Monitor impact of targeted campaigns to prioritise the most valuable content
This role is ideal for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who would like to be part of a team committed to strengthening Abcam’s position in the field of epigenetics.
It is essential you have a life sciences background, the ideal candidate will have experience in the field of epigenetics. You will have excellent written English, strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail. Experience of working in digital copywriting would be an advantage. You may already be working as one of the following: a technical writer, copy-writer (or similar), science journalism, life sciences marketing role or be looking for your first job outside of research.
This role will involve some travel both nationally and internationally.
