The appointment will be full time on UCL Grade 7. The salary range will be £32,699 – £36,424 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
We wish to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Associate Bioinformatician to work a research projects awarded by the European Research Council (ERC) and the BBSRC to Professor Claudio Stern FRS, to understand gene regulation during early development. The post holder will be responsible for analysing genomic data, develop analysis tools, and will be expected to be in a position to publish in prestigious journals.
The position is available for 2 years in the first instance.
Applicants must have a PhD with a high level of proficiency in genomics and/or bioinformatics including comparative genomic analysis, large-scale genomic analysis, identification and characterisation of genetic regulatory regions, analysis of microarray and/or NGS data. Applicants should be proficient with statistical analysis, comfortable in a UNIX environment and able to program in PERL, R and/or other appropriate languages.
