In order to check the differentially expressed isoforms of same protein with respect to its glycosylation status in different tumours I tried staining using EOSIN Y.
We did get yellow bands indicative of glycosylated proteins at the different MW as was expected. However the background staining was more.
Any one having experiences with the same????
how can I remove the excessive background during the staining procedure.
Are there any other inexpensive available methods for the staining of glycoproteins without using kits with high sensitvity levels for the same????
