looking for a PhD fellowship.

I'm interested in doing research on the transportation of coral seed (or spawn) by ocean currents. I have reason to believe that coral reefs don't just form all of a sudden out of the sea water, but are migrating with the force and in the direction of the ocean currents, seasonally. I have looked through a lot of Universities in different areas and am not able to find a place close to Thailand and the Andamans that offers Oceanographic research in this particular aspect. I am confused as to how I should proceed with the application. If anyone has any information on PhDs in Marine biology or Oceanography, please do let me know about it...
Thank you.
