The international weekly journal of science seeks to appoint the
Chief Biological Sciences Editor.
The Chief Biological Sciences Editor plays a critical role in sustaining and developing Nature’s position as the world’s leading journal in the biological sciences. The successful candidate will provide intellectual leadership and will manage the team dedicated to publishing the most interesting original biological research. He/she will also play a key role in influencing how the breadth of the biological sciences are represented in Nature, and have a vision for representing the interests of biology and biologists within the Nature Publishing Group and externally.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in a related life-sciences discipline, experience of science publishing, and a demonstrable capability to take up this major responsibility.
This position will be based in London and will involve international travel to meetings and our overseas offices.
