Reed Scientific are currently recruiting for an Scientific Sales Support Officer, for their client who are a leading supplier of bioanalytical measurement systems. This position would suit a life science graduate who is looking for a role outside of the laboratory.

You will provide support for Key account management through providing new and existing clients with a quality service with the provision of profitability to the business.

You will be involved in:
- Developing a new customer base as well as new industries and markets
- Building relationships and rapport with existing clients
- Supporting Field Based Territory Managers
- Working to performance related targets to ensure repeat business

To be considered you will have a minimum of a HND/BSc in a Life Science. Proven experience in a customer facing role would be advantageous. Able to work with a high degree of independence, self-starter with good computer skills.

RESEARCH EXPERIENCE – 3 year in Enzyme Assay biology in Preclinical Research
Currently Working as Research Associates, Aurigene Drug Discovery (Dr. Reddy’s laboratory),Dept of Biochemistry, Bangalore.
Work profile:
Ø in-vitro enzyme assay (cell free) -  Carried out Fluroscent assays, Radiometric assay, Luminescence based assay (Kinase Glo) and also Cell based assay and there Development, Validation and Maintenance of Biological Assays in  field of Oncology.
Ø Assay development :-  
optimizing the assay conditions – Enzyme Dose response (check the activity of protein), ATP Km, substrate Km determination, Reversible and irreversible study, linearity, buffer conditions, salts, pH, temperature, detergents etc., to improve the overall sensitivity of the assay.
Ø Compound screening and analysis:
Screen and determine the IC50 of the compound for target protein. Compound screening was carried out by Automation method.
Ø The assay has to be performed by the following methods.
1.      Radiometric assay: Performed in-vitro cell free protein binding assay using labeled Isotope tritium [H3] and p32 and count the samples (CPM ) using Wallac TriLux Micro beta counter. And also done the p32 labeled binding assay.
2.      TR-FRET assay: studied the in-vitro cell free competitive inhibition, non competitive inhibition of enzymes and measured the counts by plates were read by Fluorescence Spectra, and Generate dose-response curve and inhibition studies using Graph Pad software Version5.0.
Ø Instrument handle:
Vector 3 wallac 1420, Absorption Spectra, Luminescence (micro beta counter - Scintillation counter, ELISA, Eppimotion & Teccan Robotic machine, UV visible spectra, HPLC. And also handled 384-well plate, 96-well late (Perkin Elmer.)
