Sr. Industry Sales Manager (with case no.3176)
The ideal candidate will cooperate with Customer Solution Manager and Regional Marketing Manager on leading Industry Group Network to manage and develop the business with key accounts and distributors so as to achieve sales target.
 

Sales management

  • Lead, direct and manage the local organization of AccMs to ensure targets in AB and account plans are met
  • Lead preparation and challenge of AB, FF and provide input to RSF (SCO)
  • Ensure adherence to agreed performance management measures within own area of responsibility
  • Secure budget and manage expenses related to Account management for AccMs
  • Ensure that account plans are prepared, challenged, executed and maintained according to policies and support the sales efforts and goals
  • Guide AccMs to identify new business opportunities
  • Manage the price negotiation process to ensure that the pricing policy, defined by Marketing, is followed consistently
  • Lead the identification of collaboration and partnering agreements and execute their implementation in cooperation with the local and global Marketing
  • Collect and communicate competitive threats for counter action and seek decision making support from MBD for implementing action plan

Industry management

  • Ensure NZ participation in relevant industry associations
  • Lead the Industry Groups (key participants are ISMs, RMMs and CSMs)
  • Collect relevant input on industry strategies (as by request from the RMM) and budgets (IS, GMP, MTP etc.) and ensure the content (RGP and Game Plan) is directing the formulation of account plans and provide feedback to RMM on GMP usefulness and short falls
  • Build strong relationship with key members of the IPG
  • Drive process for providing sales and competitive data into ISG and GMT via the RMM

People management

  • Ensure proper allocation of local AccMs
  • Guide/coach/assist AccMs in his/her daily business operations
  • Coach and provide direction for own reportees, incl. setting targets, follow-up, salary and bonus setting and Individual Development Plans (IDP)
  • Implement training and skill development plan defined by the Sales Director 


Qualifications

  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree (Sales/ Marketing and/or Technical)
  • Minimum 3-5 years of job experience at starch or related industry
  • Good connection among starch industry is necessary
  • Account management skills, demonstrated sales and people management skills
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, able to coach interpersonal skill development


Challenges

Candidate will be challenged with the leadership skill, coordinating among multi-functions and strategic thinking of develop business.  Willingness to travel within China (50% on average) is a must.
