Territory Manager I (Sales)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining existing accounts and initiating new reagent business into the research market
  • Promotion of new and existing products
  • Discover new opportunities and securing incremental business
  • Explore, identify and communicate potential opportunities with the Regional Business Managers and Product Managers
  • Perform routine sales calls throughout the territory and servicing current customer base and uncovering new business opportunities
  • Attend trade and vendor shows and meetings as needed
  • Provide timely communication and follow-up to customers ensuring their satisfaction
  • Provide pertinent market and competitive information to the organization
  • Knowledge of molecular biology and/or cell biology required


  • A minimum of 3 years sales experience in a related industry is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills are critical
  • Must possess effective communication skills, specifically verbal adeptness
  • The ability to listen and interact professionally as a sales team member is required
  • Will represent, promote and sell Clontech reagent products
  • Position requires approximately 50% travel


  • B.S., M.S., Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology or related Life Science
