PhD Position in Chemistry with Specialization in Chemical Physics at Uppsala University in Sweden
A suitable background is a Master of Science (MSc) degree (or Swedish “Magister” or “Civilingenjör”) in Chemistry, Physics or equivalent, with a strong component of physical chemistry/chemical physics of molecular systems.
Experience in photochemistry or time-resolved techniques is a merit, but not a requirement.
Scholarship Open for International Students: No
Scholarship Description: The intended research area is “Ultrafast spectroscopy applied to the study of photoinduced processes in biological and photovoltaic systems”.
The candidate will investigate fundamental photoinduced processes occurring in biological and photovoltaic systems, such as excited state quenching, energy transfer and isomerization.
