We seek a physician with oncology experience to oversee and coordinate some clinical aspects of one or more prostate cancer trials in collaboration with other members of the team. It is an excellent opportunity for a physician in training who is interested in obtaining experience in large-scale multi-centre clinical trials, working as part of a world leading clinical trials unit. You will work closely with the trial teams running clinical trials in prostate cancer and other areas, which may include STAMPEDE, RADICALS and STRATOSPHERE. You will lead some aspects in the conduct and development.
The post is funded for three years in the first instance.
Medically qualified and having completed core medical training with some experience in oncology or a closely related field, you will have current GMC registration and have passed the Member of the Royal College of Physicians examination if UK qualified. Experience in recruiting patients to clinical trials and/or previous research experience would be advantageous. The will be the opportunity for clinical mentoring and to undertake research leading to an MD.
