Associate Professor in Bioinformatics

University of Nottingham - School of Molecular Medical Sciences

The School of Molecular Medical Sciences invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the above post.  The aim of this post is to establish a strong bioinformatics research group affiliated to one or more existing School research groups and to expand the bioinformatics input into the School's teaching particularly at the postgraduate level.
The School (MOL) is one of nine Schools in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and was fully established in 2004 and is based on three campuses: Queen's Medical Centre, the City Hospital and University Park in the £25 million multidisciplinary Centre for Biomolecular Sciences.
Candidates must have a PhD or equivalent in a relevant subject and an international track record in bioinformatics research relevant to School research themes.
Salary will be within the range £46,510 - £55,535 per annum, depending on skills and experience. 
Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance. This is a permanent, full-time post.
