Clinical Lecturer ; Microbiology and Infectious Diseases

Applications are invited for the above post in the Nuffield Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences. The Clinical Lecturer will be required to take part in the teaching of Microbiology to medical students, engage in research and contribute toward the clinical work of the Department under the direction of the Head of Department. Candidates should possess MRCP or equivalent and will have demonstrated ability to undertake research by the submission of a thesis for a higher degree and/or relevant publications in refereed journals. The successful candidate will possess a commitment to the teaching of undergraduates. The post will provide higher specialist training and research experience in area of relevance. The post holder will be allocated an NTN for higher professional training. The appointment will be for four years with a formal review after a probationary period of two years.
