Faculty Position - Cancer Sequencing Informatics : Buffalo, NY
The Department of Pathology at Roswell Park Cancer Institute is currently developing a high throughput targeted sequencing laboratory that will focus on cancer related topics. This laboratory will have research and development as well as clinical responsibilities. This is a great opportunity for a faculty position in cancer sequencing informatics for an individual interested in working as part of a team in a collegial and collaborative environment to help develop cutting edge technologies for the care and treatment of cancer patients in the immediate future.
The position will be responsible for designing, developing and deploying the analysis pipelines for the data generated by the sequencing instruments including processing of intensities, alignments and executing assemblies tools. He or she should have appropriate skills in bioinformatics with a focus in genome informatics and the analysis of next-generation sequencing data.

A new hospital building, completed in 1998, houses a comprehensive diagnostic and treatment center. In addition, the Institute built a new medical research complex and renovated existing education and research space to support its future growth and expansion.
