We seek an outstanding candidate for a metabolomic study of hormone pathways altered in obesity and metabolic syndrome. Using models of obesity we aim to investigate the interaction with the stress axis.
Candidates should have a PhD in endocrinology, molecular biology, physiology or a related discipline and it would be beneficial to have a knowledge of hypothalamic regulatory systems involved in energy homeostasis or physiological control of the stress axis.
A research background in peptide/steroid isolation and characterization (preferably mass spectrometry) is essential, as is technical expertise in molecular biology and cell culture. A strong publication record in a related area and good communication skills are desirable.
You will join a well funded and productive research group located in a state-of-the-art building providing outstanding physical space, a stimulating intellectual environment, and access to first-rate core facilities.
