The Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University (Einstein) is currently seeking to fill a senior faculty position (tenure-track associate or full professor).
 
The Department of Pathology seeks an individual with a strong record of research accomplishments in immunology and research interests focused on autoimmune diseases. Candidates with interest in neuroimmunology and CNS autoimmune disease are also strongly encouraged to apply.
 
The successful applicant will have a Ph.D or MD/PhD in a relevant field, a strong record of published research in peer-reviewed premier academic journals, a well-funded extramural research program, and national and international recognition.
 
The selected candidate will join a group of faculty in a unique collegial environment that emphasizes and encourages high-impact, high-relevance basic science and translational research.
 
The position offers competitive start-up funds and laboratory space within the central research facilities of Einstein, and access to numerous state-of-the-art core facilities. Extensive BSL-2 and BSL-3 containment facilities are available for handling infectious agents and infected rodents. The Department has active NIH Training Grants available to support pre- and postdoctoral trainees, and the large graduate programs at Einstein provide ready access to high quality pre-doctoral trainees working toward Ph.D., M.D. and combined M.D./Ph.D. degrees. Einstein is located in an attractive and convenient section of the Northeast Bronx in close proximity to the Westchester County suburbs of New York City and all of the unparalleled cultural activities of Manhattan.
