The Wildlife Institute of India (WII) is a premier national autonomous Institute of the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoE&F), Government of India in the field of teaching, training and research. The WII wishes to engage two research personnel (One-Senior Research Fellow and One Senior Project Assistant) through a walk-in-interview on Monday, 11th April 2011. The details of the available position along with essential and desirable qualifications, terms and conditions and how to apply are given below:

Project Title:
Integrated development of wildlife habitat – Recovery programme for saving critically endangered species and habitat – Manipur Brow antlered deer Rucervus eldii eldii.

(01 – Senior Project Assistant): Duration: Eight Months.

Project Title, details of position and duration: Ecological assessment of timberline ecotone in western Himalaya with special reference to climate change and anthropogenic pressures.
(01 – Senior Research Fellow): Duration: One year.
