Diagnostics Sales Specialist
 
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Diagnostics Sales Specialist. This position has overall responsibility for promotion and sale, within a defined territory, of a rapidly growing portfolio of leading edge clinical products to clinicians and researchers in the life sciences community.  The position has responsibility for implementation of organizational marketing strategies and for achieving sales and profit goals utilizing aggressive and effective sales techniques in a professional, ethical, and knowledgeable manner.
 
In addition to building and maintaining an effective working relationship with customers, marketing and business development teams, this role will be specifically accountable for:
·         Achieving the revenue objectives for the territory as provided by management
·         Identifying and following through with new prospective clients (cold calling will be involved)
·         Growing revenue from existing and new accounts and from various types of accounts (industry, academic, government, etc.)
·         Promoting company products through in person visits, e-mail communications and trade shows/ conferences
·         Presenting effective solutions to customers based on their interests and needs
·         Gathering and communicating market intelligence on trends, competitor activities/promotions, and funding environment
·         Diligently following-up with prospects after on-site visits and industry trade shows
·         Proactively pursuing new promotion avenues through the procurement departments, interest groups, and departmental committees to increase client exposure to company products
·         Act as a resource to the account management team. Assist in their understanding of the clinical market and the nuances in selling to it
·         Assisting account managers with closing strategic deals when necessary
·         Identifying new product and technology opportunities
·         Developing and cultivating effective business relationships with key customers
·         Maintaining excellent communications with customers and marketing team members to ensure optimal company-client relationship
·         Properly referring issues to Technical Support team to assist customers in resolving problems
·         Maintaining an accurate customer database and opportunity funnel within company’s CRM
·         Liaising with internal departments to ensure customer orders (and any backordered items) are diligently handled
·         Providing reports of sales activities, market intelligence, and gain/lost business when requested
·         Contributing to the development of pre/post trade show/conference promotional campaigns
·         As the face of eBioscience to our customers, presenting a professional and responsible image
 
Qualifications:
·         Comprehensive knowledge and skills in an appropriate science, Bachelors degree in the life sciences, plus at least 3 years sales experience in clinical sales
·         Demonstrated knowledge of flow cytometry products and reagents; excellent ability to communicate information about these products and reagents
·         Excellent and cordial oral and written communication skills. Must speak clearly and write proficiently in English
·         Outstanding enthusiasm and energy to execute sales responsibilities
·         Ability to work effectively with clients and staff with differing levels of education and expertise and from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds
·         Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple, complex sales negotiations
·         Willingness to travel and periodically work on weekends. Overnight travel is 40-60%
·         Must have a valid driver’s license in state of residence as well as appropriate automobile liability insurance
·         Ability to meet the Company’s employee handbook guidelines
 
Work Environment:
Work is carried out in a home office environment or in person client visits and will require frequent travel to different geography in the US. A mileage allowance is provided for travel to customer accounts and the airport.
