seeking a highly motivated and skilled person to work on an interdisciplinary project aimed at characterizing bioactive fatty acids in foodstuff. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and apply mass spectrometry-based lipidomic techniques for quantitative analysis of free fatty acids in foodstuff and their metabolism in cells.
The scholarship is available to candidates with a Master of Science degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, bioanalytical chemistry or a related discipline. Prior experience in lipid mass spectrometry or lipid biochemistry is a prerequisite. The candidate should be proficient in English and possess good interpersonal skills.

Appointment as a PhD Research Fellow is for three years. Employment stops automatically at the end of the period. The holder of the scholarship is not allowed to have other paid employment during the three-year period.
The successful applicant will be employed in accordance with the agreement of 1 October 2008 on salaried PhD scholars between the Ministry of Finance and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations).
