Postdoctoral Research Associate in Genetics at United Arab Emirates Uni

Postdoctoral Research Associate positions are available in the laboratories of Dr. Bassam Ali (Department of Pathology) and Prof. Lihadh Al-Gazali (Department of Pediatrics), Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, United Arab Emirates University. The positions are to elucidate the molecular and cellular mechanisms of human genetic conditions. One of the projects is on using homozygosity mapping for the identification of defective genes underlying recessive conditions. The successful candidates should have PhD in biomedical discipline with extensive knowledge and research experience in more than one of the following research areas: molecular biology, bioinformatics, genomics, human molecular genetics, cell biology or protein chemistry.

The positions are supported by grants from the United Arab Emirates University initially for one year renewable for two more years. Salary commensurate with training and experience and is free of tax.
