The division Cell Growth and Proliferation at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) and Center for Molecular Biology Heidelberg (ZMBH) seeks outstanding applicants for post-doctoral studies of intestinal homeostasis using the Drosophila model system. This project will utilize advanced genetic approaches combined with molecular and cell biological assays to discover how cell signaling and environmental factors control intestinal stem cell growth, proliferation, and differentiation.
A PhD in the Life Sciences, advanced knowledge of molecular biology and genetics, and extensive laboratory experience are required.
The position is limited to 24 months starting February 1, 2011.
