Nanomission: A Game about basic concepts in nanoscience

I found this very interesting, though still in its initial stages:

http://www.nanomission.org/

Join Dr Goodlove and Lisa in the demo of the first module, nanomedicine, select a suitable vehicle to deliver an anti cancer compound, and then navigate through the bloodstream to the site of the tumour, avoiding the body's natural defence mechanisms.

Great link kumar!

Great link kumar!

With all of the ultra-violence games on the market today it is refreshing to see a game that is also helping you learn something, especially since this game has a scientific theme to it.

Here is a similar game but

Here is a similar game but for a different user base: adolescents and young adults with cancer.

http://www.hopelab.org/innovative-solutions/re-mission%E2%84%A2/

In Re-Mission, players pilot a nanobot named Roxxi as she travels through the bodies of fictional cancer patients destroying cancer cells, battling bacterial infections, and managing side effects associated with cancer and cancer treatment.

Prior to the release of Re-Mission™, HopeLab completed an unprecedented randomized, research trial to evaluate the efficacy of the game. This research shows that playing Re-Mission™ improved treatment adherence and produced increases in quality of life, self-efficacy, and cancer-related knowledge for adolescents and young adults with cancer.
