Acetylcholinesterase staining and immunofluorescence
Hi,
I have brain sections that have GFP labeled axon tracts. Is it possible to do acetylcholinesterase staining on these sections without disrupting the GFP signal? Thanks!
I would suggest that you try staining for both ChAT and VAChT, because in some systems one might work better than the other. If you look at biocomepare www.biocompare.com/Antibodies/ you will finde plenty of antibodies for the two markers. Personally I have used antibodies from Millipore and they have worked nicely in rat and mouse brain.

goat polyclonal anti-ChAT (catalog #AB144P) and goat polyclonal anti-VAChT (catalog #ABN100;).
Best of luck!
