It is not easy for a foreign trained medical doctor to find a residency position in America. In addition to the fact that you need excellent scores on the USMLE, one must also have a very well written statement. One of my Indian friends is certain that the help that she received on her personal statement was a critical part of how she became successful at finding a Family Practice residency position in America. I am curious to know how important a well written statement to find a residency position in America?
