Cleaning micro particles of CaCO3

I am using powdered CaCO3 particles in experiments and have been requested to "clean" the calcium carbonate from other impurities that may be in the stock container.  Since the impurities are unknown I am hesitant to dissolve the calcium in any cleaner because I do not know what products may be formed.  Does anyone know of an effective way to clean CaCO3?
Thanks!

Hey dmm520,

Hey dmm520,
Looking into this problem lead to some interesting results. It looks like vinegar is the way to go. Here are two websites that refer to this problem. (One is from cleaning mouthpieces from saxophones!)
