Determine Cell type from identified gene

Hi

i have identified a gene, presumably a novel gene, and am supposed to identify the cell and tissue where it is expressed in the CNS
i ve been around for hours and couldn't find anything conclusive

Has anyone got an idea ?
What method should i use, if possible what are pros and cons

Thanks

is it possible to make global

is it possible to make global genome expression and compare it to known cell type then you get your cell type figured out
but i do not understand how you would identify a gene without using spacific cell type ??
i am woundering for that ?
and since it is new gene it might be expressed in all the cells since it is bacically^``new`` ?
could you explain more ??

good luck

I guess no specific technique

I guess no specific technique exists for such an experiment

and since it is a novel gene, what i did is highlight polymorphisms to use them as genetic markers

then from the tissue sample i ve just checked the hybridisation with an electronic microscope
