Identification of mouse peritoneal macrophages

In my experiments, I need to isolate mouse peritoneal macrophages and identify them, are there any simple approaches to identify them?
Thank you a ton !

Hi,

Hi,

The easiest way to identify the macrophages is probably via immunofluorescent staining and flow cytometry.  Many people have used antibodies directed towards the cell surface markers F4/80 and CD11b, but you can also include an intracellular stain for CD68.

This protocol covers isolation and identification of mouse peritoneal macrophages quite comprehensively.

Hope that helped.

Hi,

Hi,
and if I wished to isolate mouse peritoneal monocytes, aiming to colture them afterward, is the same procedure as for macrophages ok?

Hi

Hi

Do you mean the same procedure in the mouse model or the identification post isolation?
