MRC Toxicology Unit

A Bioinformatician is required to join the Post-transcriptional Control Group at the MRC Toxicology Unit to provide significant scientific input on projects that make use of next generation sequencing technology.
You will be responsible for collaborating and influencing the direction of projects from group members to ensure next generation sequencing projects are planned appropriately and to ensure that data quality is monitored correctly as projects progress. Taking responsibility for the analysis of the data produced by such projects, usually in collaboration with other project scientists, you will present and interpret the results, providing an innovative contribution to the science and taking an active role in the publication of data.
You will have a PhD in bioinformatics or biostatistics and proven experience in the analysis of data produced by next generation sequencing experiments.
