A new position has become available for a highly motivated, Senior NGS Bioinformatician to join an esteemed Bioinformatics R&D department in Cambridgeshire. This pioneering biotech is a true leader within the Informatics Industry and on the lookout for that rare professional who possesses exceptional bioinformatics capabilities and a deep NGS understanding.

Working closely with a team of molecular biologists, statisticians and computational biologists, the successful applicant will participate in a large number of Next Generation Sequencing projects that will involve the creation of databases, data management and NGS analysis.

To succeed in this role, it is essential that you are well versed in WGS and RNA-seq analysis, and confident in statistical microarray data analysis and associated toolsets.

The Senior NGS Bioinformatician will be able to write pipelines in Perl, Python, C and R; and enjoy keeping up to date with the latest bioinformatics methods and technologies.

To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate will be educated to a PhD level in Bioinformatics or Computational Biology with proven commercial experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical arena. It is essential that you possess exceptional programming skills (Perl, R, Python) with proven knowledge in Next Generation Sequencing/NGS data analysis.
