Duties/Responsibilities: The job duties will include herd health, employee training, and disease investigation in dairy herds in the state of Minnesota. Occasionally, the resident will be involved with investigations of herds in South Dakota and Wisconsin. The resident will be involved with student teaching in clinical rotations, specifically Dairy Theriogenology and Dairy on Farm Clinics. The successful applicant will work with faculty of the dairy unit of the Veterinary Population Medicine Department and faculty of the Department of Animal Science. The successful applicant will be required to apply to the College of Veterinary Medicine Graduate Program and conclude within the three year residency a Master in Science degree. This includes the publication of one peer-reviewed manuscript in a tier-1 journal in Agricultural and Biological Sciences. Required/Preferred Qualifications: Applicants must have a DVM/VMD degree or equivalent degree from a foreign university by start date. They must have good communication skills and a strong commitment to a career relating to dairy production medicine. Academic qualifications for admission to the University of Minnesota Graduate School are required. **Successful completion of a background check may be required for this position
