We are recruiting a Medical Statistician to assist with research projects in molecular epidemiology aimed at identifying and characterizing biomarkers of cancer risk.
The post holder will work closely with other members of the team conducting research on causes of cancer through the use of state-of-the-art exposure assessment and biomarkers in epidemiological and clinical studies. The work involves identifying and developing suitable tools and analytical techniques for the collection and analysis of data, preparing analytical databases and performing statistical analyses. The post holder will also be expected to work on the preparation of scientific papers for publication, and assist with the development of new research proposals and grant applications.
The post will be for 2 years with potential for renewal thereafter. Starting salary will be on the scale of £26,996 to £35,518 per annum, according to qualification and experience.
