This is a unique post created to provide inpatient and outpatient care of haematology patients with myeloid disorders and patients undergoing stem cell transplantation procedures, who have been enrolled on early and late phase clinical trials. You will provide co-ordination and execution of trial activities as well as participating in teaching of specialist registrars and other medical personnel. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in translational research projects using samples collected as part of the trial activity.
You will primarily be based at the Churchill Hospital and also in the Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine, but you may also be required to work to work in other parts of the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust.
The post is a full-time fixed-term appointment for 18 months with an immediate start. The post is funded by Research Capability Funding and ORH Charitable Funds.
You will hold MB ChB, MRCP or equivalent and have general training in haematology with several years’ full-time hospital service, including direct experience of managing haemato-oncology patients. The ability to work effectively within a multi-professional team with excellent organizational and communication (spoken and written English) skills are essential.
