Applications are invited to join the Neuroepidemiology and Ageing Research Unit in the School of Public Health. This post will be based at the Charing Cross Campus, Hammersmith and at the St Mary’s Hospital Campus, Paddington with occasional travel to the Hammersmith Campus, East Acton.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic multidisciplinary team of researchers and clinicians working on the delivery of cutting-edge research to prevent Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, which take centre stage in national and international public health strategies. The post involves working with healthy elderly volunteers and cognitively impaired individuals and the successful applicant will play a vital role in large-scale prospective studies and clinical prevention trials.
A priority of this post is the delivery of a substantial battery of neurocognitive assessments within an important large-scale observational study running at the research unit. The postholder will support and advise the team on recruitment of healthy volunteers from the Chariot research register, and retention to the research studies. They will also take responsibility for delivery and quality control of assessments and study procedures.
Applicants should have Doctoral level training in clinical psychology and experience in conducting specialist psychological assessments. They should be confident in working in a clinical research environment, handling confidential data and clinical records. They should be motivated, well organised and able to communicate and work effectively as part of a team.
