The appointment will be on UCL Grade Clinical Training Fellow - Speciality Training Registrar.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Paediatric Clinical Research Fellow to undertake a period of research studying clinical, biochemical and genetic features of a cohort of children with neurodegeration. The successful candidate will be recruiting patients from the neurology and metabolic outpatients clinics at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Funding for additional hours may be possible from other ongoing research projects at the Inherited Metabolic Diseases Unit, Great Ormond Street Hospital. 
The post is funded for 12 months in the first instance.
Applicants must be medically qualified with postgraduate qualifications in paediatrics (MRCPCH or equivalent), and hold a National Training Number to be paid on the StR pay scale.
Experience in clinical paediatric neurology and/or metabolic medicine during an ST (or equivalent post) is essential to the project.  The applicant must be proficient in phlebotomy techniques for blood sampling from children and adults. Although previous laboratory experience is desirable, it is not essential. The post holder will have experience of recording and analysing data, and preparing manuscripts for publication.
