The Manchester Medical Microbiology Partnership (MMMP) is a collaboration between Central Manchester Foundation Trust (CMFT) and Public Health England (PHE). The microbiology partnership provides comprehensive services and specialist services to a wide range of hospitals across the North West and beyond.
The post-holder will act as a Healthcare Scientist Practitioner who provides scientific services to patients and clients as an aid in the evaluation of immunological responses to vaccines and microbiological disease.
We are looking for the right individual to take on this fixed-term post, performing serological assays for the evaluation of various vaccines.
You will possess an appropriate biological degree, and have already had some appropriate laboratory experience. Previous laboratory experience in immunological techniques such as Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) is essential. Applicants with additional experience in multiplex bead based assays or electrochemiluminescent assays (e.g. MSD) are desirable and should highlight this is their supporting information. We are looking for an individual who can work well as part of a team and who has good communication/keyboard skills. Accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
The laboratory is accredited by CPA; and we actively encourage CPD activities and post-graduate qualifications.
