*To establish new and build upon the existing professional relationship with the regional KOL's. The MSL will be responsible for regional opinion leader development and work cross functionally to develop KOLs.
*To provide medical-scientific information regarding marketed and pipeline drugs according to legal requirements, ABPI code requirement and in collaboration with medical information. To discuss new research proposals with investigators and provide logistic support in the setting up of new studies (IITs).
*To participate in the development and execution of the phase IV plan.
*Ensure that results of sponsor-supported research are presented to the audience.
*To provide medical-scientific presentations on EPBU product(s) and/or related disease(s) on request.
*To organise or participate in regional EPBU advisory board meetings.
*To discuss adverse events (AEs) reported in IITs or other studies.
*To proactively gather information on prescribing habits/treatment pathways.
*To organise / host / present at regional educational meetings
*To assist with manning a medical stand and handling medical/scientific questions from customers at local congresses.
*To work closely with EPBU colleagues and provide necessary support to the Sales and Marketing team, and medical affairs teams, including training
Qualifications and education required:
*Bachelor degree in pharmacy, pharmacology or bio-medical sciences, PhD or medical degree is advantageous.
*Demonstration of high performance in scientific communications role.
Experience, skills and aptitude required:
*High level of planning and organisational skills.
*Flexible and adaptable to meet departmental and organisational needs.
*Awareness of the legal and ethical issues affecting the provision of information, including the European Codes of Practice.
*Good understanding of ABPI code
*Experience of presenting to internal and external stakeholders.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Experience of working in a customer focused environment.
*Awareness of commercial processes at local country level - with a proven ability to critic and influence content of commercial material.
*High level of self-motivation with the ability to work independently and as part of an integrated matrix organisation.
*Strong critical and independent thinking with effective team working skills.
*Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Project).
