Senior Clinical Academic Appointment in Primary Care at University of Southampton, UK
The Faculty of Medicine is seeking to appoint a senior clinical academic in Primary Care, either at Professorial or Senior Lecturer/Reader level according to prior experience. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly successful Primary Care Research Group, which has been a member of the National School of Primary Care since the last research assessment exercise.
The post will be based in the Academic Unit of Primary Care and Population Sciences. Major research themes include: primary care, public health, clinical epidemiology and work in health.
There is a strong methodological support for applied health research within the Faculty and from collaborators within other Faculties in the University. (https://www.som.soton.ac.uk/research/ ).
The post holder will be expected to develop a programme of applied research in primary care; we would welcome applications from researchers with either complementary interests or those who would bring new areas of research.
You will have a proven research record of high quality publications and grant funding and clear future potential. You will be expected to attract major grant funding and to lead research of the highest academic standard. Your qualifications should include MRGP or equivalent and a PhD/MD or equivalent experience.
