New England Research Institutes (NERI) is a recognized worldwide leader in the field of epidemiology. Its state-of-the-science research in this highly specialized discipline examines the distribution (prevalence and incidence) and determinants of specific medical conditions in diverse populations.
NERI has successfully undertaken landmark epidemiologic studies and has comprehensive experience across all types of research designs – feasibility, observational, individual and cluster randomized trials, patient registries, and patient-reported outcomes – it is well positioned to cost efficiently achieve the research needs of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and federal sponsors.
We currently have an opening for a full-time Senior Research Associate. In that position, the Senior Research Associate will:
Prepare and implement literature search strategies over a wide variety of therapeutic areas;
Critically review journal articles and other sources of data and extract data for use in comprehensive research reports;
Conduct patient number modeling and participate in report writing;
Coordinate report deadlines and participate in internal and external project meetings.
MPH/MS in epidemiology or biostatistics and 2+ years of epidemiologic research experience;
Excellent analytical skills and familiarity with basic epidemiologic concepts (types of study designs, disease frequency, measures of associations);
Experience with systematic literature reviews is preferred, but not required;
Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Ability to work collegially on research projects, and to communicate directly with project sponsors;
Proficiency with SAS;
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and Endnote products.
