This position is responsible for operation of research data collection and management systems, including LANs, servers, desktops, tablets, hardware and software.
Plans, designs and implements networked systems and servers, including configurations, supporting/troubleshooting network problems.
Assists in establishing technical direction for network systems including routers, firewalls and security systems.
Assists in design and deployment of high availability systems.
Maintains network infrastructure at highest standards for security and availability.
Assists in writing and implementing formal security plans.
Management and administration of web servers and web applications.
Documentation and diagramming of system setup, procedures and processes.
Familiarity with the selection, administration and management of open source applications.
Perform preventive maintenance activities.
Assists in design and deployment of network devices (Firewall, Routers, Switches).
Managing a Windows server Lab environment.
Engineering verification testing of new products, assemblies, and product enhancements.
Work with engineers to identify and resolve issues with current products and develop product enhancements.
Participate in specification of new features and release reviews.
Manage projects for product changes and improvements.
Participate in early product definition to Beta release to prepare for integration adjustments affecting system deployments and modifying procedures and processes for future deployments, and as required for upgrade of the installed base of hardware, software, bundles and scripts.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience with RSA SecureID preferred.
Expertise in configuring and managing disks & file systems using RAID technologies and storage subsystems preferred.
Research and evaluate 3rd-party products and components preferred.
Development background a plus.
