Postdoc in Computational Chemistry/Biophysics

Immediate opening for postdoctoral research associate in theoretical and computational chemistry/biophysics (Department of Chemistry, University of California, Riverside ). The project involves the study of binding kinetics, free energy calculations, and statistical mechanical properties of chemical and biological systems. Possible projects include development of Brownian dynamics simulations in coarse-grained models, and application of continuum models, classical molecular dynamics simulation, structural bioinformatics, and free energy calculations. Applicants must have a PhD or equivalent in chemistry, biochemistry, biophysics or a related field. A strong background in statistical mechanics and programming in C and/or Fortran; knowledge in chemical and biological systems are required.
