Acetylcholinesterase staining and immunofluorescence

I have brain sections that have GFP labeled axon tracts. Is it possible to do acetylcholinesterase staining on these sections without disrupting the GFP signal? Thanks!

I would suggest that you try staining for both ChAT and VAChT, because in some systems one might work better than the other. If you look at biocomepare you will finde plenty of antibodies for the two markers. Personally I have used antibodies from Millipore and they have worked nicely in rat and mouse brain.

goat polyclonal anti-ChAT (catalog #AB144P) and goat polyclonal anti-VAChT (catalog #ABN100;).

Best of luck!
